Dana Segal is a working actress, environmentalist and professor. Dana’s acting has put her on the stages of EST, Atlantic Theatre, Naked Angels, Drury Lane, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, LAByrinth Theater and Culture Project, as well as in numerous award winning films, animated and web series including Winter Solstice, Curfew (Oscar winner), The Silverman, Relationship, Daria, Celebrity Death Match, and three years on One Life to Live. Currently you can see and hear Dana on TV in multiple commercials, shows and voiceovers. She won the LAWebfest Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy & The Break out Performance Award.

 

Dana launched the global eco-directory and lifestyle site www.Livinggreeninthecitys.com, which features articles, restaurants and information on how to live a greener, healthier life even in a big city. She is also a member of The Creative Coalition, WWF, NRDC, Film Aid, Waves for Water, NPC and River Keeper, in addition to being invited to present at numerous TED talks. She is on the Young Leadership Committee of Seeds of Peace and The High Line, where she received a Certificate of Gratitude. Through her work, Dana hopes to increase environmental awareness by showing some alternative easy green options for living, cooking, traveling,  Farmers Market hopping and nesting. Today we live in a global society, the choices we make can affect people who live continents away.

 

As an educator, Dana has taught Political Theatre at NYU, a number of inner city schools, after school programs and has created drama programs at shelters for abused women and children. She has an MFA from NYU and has also studied at RADA and Second City. She is a member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA, Neo-Political Cowgirls, and On The Road Repertory.
